Sunnyside Neighborhood

Sunnyside is a neighborhood of tree-lined streets with a mix of historic private homes with garden courtyards (Sunnyside Gardens), and low-rise apartment buildings (seven stories maximum). It is said to resemble lovely neighborhoods in London, England. This is no accident because the Sunnyside Gardens were designed by architects in the 1920s on the model of English row houses. The neighborhood is a beautiful, quiet oasis with convenient shopping. There are apartments for rent, and for purchase.

Delivery of Kosher food is just a click away from FreshDirect.com, whose warehouses are located five minutes away. Local stores sell Kosher wine and challah, kosher cheeses and Cholov Yisroel milk. Kew Garden Hills with a major Jewish shopping district and mikveh is only twenty-five minutes to the east of Sunnyside.

You can see the Empire State building from Sunnyside. Midtown manhattan is only twenty minutes away - door to door! Access to Midtown is easy via public transportation (five subway stops) or city bus over the 59th Street bridge.
